Everything in the park is very dry. The dark trees make deep shadow which I sketched and the cafe was as good as ever.
August is that lazy time of year when summer hangs heavy, the trees are dark and dry grasses, ripening seed heads, bright berries, Buddleias and Ragwort create a lovely texturesd tapestry.
As artist for Hotham Park I have recently tried to include some works with recognisable Park land marks. Here is a little acrylic painting, 50×50 cm, of the new cafe with the lovely landscaping at the side.
