Spring in the Winter Garden

I really can’t make up my mind whether this is finished. It has got to the stage where the temptation is to continue titivating, adding a stroke here or a bit more just there. This can  mess up a painting. On balance I think I will let it rest for a few weeks as things…

A quick sketch.

Sometimes pastel drawings work well but I’m not sure about this view of the Mediterranean Garden I did the other day. If nothing else it has aided my memory of the place and it was nice sitting in the sun. When I got home I worked  over it with pen.

Crowing

The park is noisy with the shouting of children as its school holidays but they cannot hope to compete with the tree top congregation of crows and rooks.
