Sketching group in the Park today; what to draw in an hour? Big fat tulips in the Lodge House garden caught my eye with a riot of green things bursting to get attention all around, though at the moment these biggies had centre stage. Drawn in pen and pastel.

Spring sun in Hotham Park

Today I joined the fortnightly sketchers in Hotham Park again and was surprised how much springing has gone on. I know it happens every year but somehow always comes as a delightful surprise.

Signs of spring in the park

Yesterday the sun tempted me to venture into the Park where I sat to do 2 sketches and then retired to the cafe for coffee and lovely apple cake. Although it was cold there were signs of early spring everywhere. Tomorrow I will post my drawings but today the Parks’ spring jewels.
