There is nothing in my studio quite as scary as a big blank canvas.It seems to leer at you saying don’t you dare mess me up. It’s only when the first mark is made you find that really you are quite powerful and the canvas becomes rather like the wizard of Oz in that moment of revelation when the curtain is drawn back.
