Watercolour is not my favourite medium, partly because I’m not good at it but I thought it would be a good change from pastels for colour sketching. There is a degree of mess involved in pastel work and watercolours are easy to transport, so I’m having a go. The first picture of flowers in the Med. garden, was not helped by the onset of rain. I retreated to the cafe to finish. The other was done in the conservation area of the park.
