I got into my studio early this morning and did three hours work before 9 on this painting which is inspired by Hotham Park’s winter garden. I like to have several paintings in progress at any time to alternate between them. The willows and dogwoods give a real splash of colour in the dark days of January, February and March. This will need quite a lot more hours to bring it to the conclusion I’m looking for.
Hi Rita. This is looking good. It reminds me of a photo I took last year when we were visiting a National Trust garden somewhere, The contrast of the coloured stems was really striking.
