The weather has been too wet and windy to spend time in the park at the moment but I have many sketches and visual memories to draw on. I an looking forward to seeing these colours again but in the meantime I am experimenting with mono printing. The method is to spread the ink directly onto a sheet of glass or other smooth surface either with a roller, palette knife or fingers, place a sheet of paper on top and apply pressure to produce a print. Rollers wedges and various markmaking tools can produce all sorts of interesting textures. I’m having a ball at the moment and discovering all sorts of new things. I really like the directness of this printmaking process.
