I have spent the weekend at the Hotham Park Country Fair showing my work as Artist in Residence for the Park and demonstrating painting and pastels in a gazebo. There were a couple of showers on the first day which made things even more interesting but Sunday was a glorious shower free day. There were crowds of people drifting by and some of them stopped to have a look. We were convieniently situated opposite the tea and cake tent. Toward the end of the second day I sold the very first painting I did as Artist for the Park a 90×90 canvas of a Park autumn scene in oils. The Fair raises money for the Hotham Park Heritage Trust who use the money raised to improve the Park facilities. A percentage of the money raised from sales will go to the Trust.
